Do you have a particular skill or expertise that can produce something that you could sell? Do you paint, write, sculpt, invent , knit build or fashion things with your hands or with tools? Virtually anything that can either help someone learn something or solve some problem can be turned into a product that can be put into the vast Internet Market.
So, you’ve found something that you can sell. Let’s start there. It doesn’t matter what it is. It can probably be sold online. Very specific items fall into categories that are called Niches.
Niche- A distinct segment of a market.
Niches are very good places to be. Google searches for very specific words, and niches help define those words and point toward these narrow categories. If you knit Christmas ornaments, those people looking for them will find it easier if you are in the Christmas ornament niches that they frequent. These niches could be found on a Facebook page for knitting, Christmas ornaments and even Crafts. It could be an Etsy shop in the Crafts tab. You can create a Pinterest board to display your crafts, complete with prices and a link to your sales page.
I hope you are starting to see how easy it can be to get some exposure for your products. It will take some work, and some of your time to get all of these sites set up and functioning. The great thing is that once you have done the initial set up, you never have to do it again. You can just start to add products to your sites, and do some advertising.
Here is a list of places to market your products. It is by no means exhaustive, or complete. It’s a good starting place. Each niche has their own unique sites that will help you get more market exposure and sales. The first few are designed to make you money. The rest are for getting set up.
Make Money-
-Your Blog. Blogging is one of the best ways to get your presence out into the internet. It’s a place where you can create your own kiosk in your niche and fill it with the things you are an authority on. An ideal blog is the Kalatu Blog System. It is easy to set up. It automatically sends your posts to the big social networks like Twitter and Facebook. It has Customer Service and training videos that are second to none in the Blogosphere. -Etsy. This is Amazon for hand made crafts. www.etsy.com
-Clickbank. This is one of the biggest affiliate sites. An affiliate is when you sell someone else’s goods on your site and get paid for it. www.clickbank.com
-Cafe Press. Here is an amazing site. If you are an artist, and own your own work, it can be printed on t-shirts, playing cards, aprons, coffee mugs and a dozen other items. There are other ways to get art to sell, and it’s a beautiful thing to see it on a shirt. www.cafepress.com
-SmashWords. For writers, here is a place that you can sell your stories. They have an entire process that takes your work and formats it to an ebook that will read on any device. You can set the price, availability and other options. www.smashwords.com
-Amazon Affiliates. If you are writing about a product, book or other item, you can create a link for it here. If someone is reading your post and likes what your writing about, they can click on the link. They will be taken to Amazon, where they have the ability to order the item.
